Carroll Haff
Carroll Haff ( Carroll Barse Haff; born February 19, 1892 in Kansas City , Missouri , † April 9, 1947 in Pelham Manor , New York ) was an American sprinter who specialized in the 400-meter run .
At the Olympic Games in Stockholm in 1912, he was fifth.
In 1913 he became US champion over 440 yards and IC4A champion starting for the University of Michigan . He set his personal best over 440 yards of 48.3 s (corresponds to 48.0 s over 400 m) on June 1, 1912 in Philadelphia .
