The Castellane is a river in France that runs in the Pyrénées-Orientales department in the Occitania region . It rises in the eastern Pyrenees , on the northern flank of the Pic de Madrès summit ( 2,469 m), in the municipality of Mosset , generally drains in an easterly direction through the Pyrénées Catalanes Regional Nature Park and flows after 27 kilometers at the hamlet of Mas Riquer , in the municipality of Catllar , just north of Prades , as a left tributary into the Têt .
