Edwin Stafford Nelson (born December 21, 1928 in New Orleans , Louisiana - † August 9, 2014 in Greensboro , North Carolina ) was an American actor .

Life

Nelson attended Tulane University , but dropped out of his sophomore year and moved to New York City in 1952 . There he studied directing at the New York School of Radio and Television Technique . After graduation, he returned to New Orleans, where he worked as an assistant director for the television station WDSU-TV. In 1956 he met the B-movie - producer Roger Corman , who his monster movie in Louisiana Four women in the swamp turned.
