The film was shown for the first time on September 5, 2019 at the Toronto International Film Festival in the Contemporary World Cinema Competition. A screening at the South by Southwest Film Festival was planned for March 2020 . A few days before the start of the festival, due to the coronavirus pandemic, it was postponed to an unknown time, including the presentation of the film. On May 15, 2020, the film was released as video-on-demand by Gravitas Ventures and Pacific Northwest Pictures in the USA and Canada.
