Tom Cullen
Tom Osborne Cullen (born July 17, 1985 in Aberystwyth , Wales ) is a British actor .
life and career
Cullen studied acting at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama in Cardiff , graduating in 2009. After several theater roles , including at Bristol Old Vic , he got the lead role of Russell in Andrew Haigh's drama Weekend (2011). He received several nominations for the film and won the British Independent Film Award for best newcomer. This was followed by months of shooting in Hungary for the television film Die Tore der Welt , in which Cullen can be seen as Wulfric.
From 2013 to 2014 he played the role of Lord Gillingham in the historical drama series Downton Abbey , for which he and the rest of the cast received the Screen Actors Guild Award in the category Best Acting Company in a TV Series - Drama . In 2015 he took on the role of Joe Rose, son of the eponymous character (played by Ray Winstone ) in the miniseries The Trials of Jimmy Rose , and in 2016 in the crime series The Five , about four friends and the disappearance of the younger brother of one of them who have favourited the role of Mark Wells.
In the historical drama series Knightfall on the US broadcaster History about the end of the Templar Order , Cullen will play the role of Sir Landry, the leader of the Templar Order.
He has been in a relationship with the Canadian actress Tatiana Maslany since 2011 .
