Catch as Catch Can (German: "by all means") is the third studio album by British singer Kim Wilde . It was released on RAK Records in October 1983 .

Catch as Catch Can was the last album from the contract for RAK. After the tour in late 1982, Wilde took a six-month break. The new album was then recorded again with her brother Ricky Wilde at RAK Studios in London . As before, Ricky Wilde and her father Marty Wilde wrote the songs. Only Dancing in the Dark was written by Nicky Chinn and Paul Gurvitz . This song was mixed by Nile Rodgers .

In the United Kingdom , the album reached number 90 in the charts, in the United States it could not place. The first single Love Blonde reached the top ten in Sweden and Finland , but just missed it in Switzerland with eleventh place; in Germany it came in 26th. The second single Dancing in the Dark made it into the top ten in Denmark , Finland and Switzerland, in Germany again in 26th place.
