Close is the sixth studio album by British singer Kim Wilde . It was released in May 1988 and produced by her brother Ricky Wilde and Tony Swain. It was one of their most successful albums ever with top 10 placements across Europe and also contained successful single releases.

Background information
The album was released across Europe and was a commercial success. The singles also sold well that Michael Jackson hired Kim Wilde as a support act for his Bad -Tour. The album was also released in Australia and the USA. In the UK, it's their first album since Select , from 1982, that didn't flop.
Single releases
The first single was released in April 1988 Hey Mr. Heartache . The song reached the German top 15 and became a big hit in Norway.
The second single, You Came , released in July 1988, became one of Kim Wilde's biggest hits ever. It reached the top 10 across Europe and was also released in the US, where the song just missed the top 40.
With the single Never Trust a Stranger , released in September 1988 , Kim Wilde was able to build on the success and again achieve high chart positions. With her fourth single, Four Letter Word , released in November 1988, the singer reached the top 10 in the UK. In addition, this was her first ballad as a single.
The fifth single Love in the Natural Way was only released in the British Isles in February 1989 and narrowly missed the British Top 30.
