Another Step (German: a further step) is the fifth studio album by British singer Kim Wilde . It was released in October 1986.

Another Step was produced by Kim Wilde's brother Ricky Wilde with Rod Temperton and Bruce Swedien , known for working with Michael Jackson . Reinhold Heil , Richard James Burgess and Dick Rudolph Wilde also worked as producers of individual songs. Wilde relied on a slightly different songwriting team; she herself took part in almost all of the songs. The first side of the album contains faster songs, whereas the second side focuses more on ballads . The first single Schoolgirl was the first single release she had co-written. The Supremes cover You Keep Me Hangin 'On , with which it reached number one on the Billboard 200 , number two in Germany and the United Kingdom , eighth in Switzerland and 20th in Austria , was particularly successful .
