Cathrin Caspar

Cathrin Caspar is a German television journalist and director .

Life

After graduating from high school, Caspar worked in New York and San Francisco , then studied journalism and communication sciences, art history and ethnology at the University of Göttingen . From 1989 to 1994 she worked as a journalist for the Göttinger Tageblatt , Radio ffn and Sat.1 . In 1994 Caspar switched to the North German Radio in Hamburg . She reported from the EXPO 2000 in Hanover for the ARD Tagesschau about the nation days, then she took over the weekly travel series DAS! Travel for eight years , with Achim Reichel and Uwe Bahn among others . In 2002 it stood for THAT! in the afternoon as a travel expert in front of the camera.

Caspar broadcast around 900 films on public TV between 1994 and 2016. Caspar's documentation about the Wendland is considered to be the cultural historical documentation of the region's inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage Site and is regularly repeated on ARD and NDR .

Cathrin Caspar is married to Johannes Caspar .
