Central Connect Airlines , or CCA for short , was a Czech regional airline based in Ostrava and based at Ostrava Airport .

history

Central Connect Airlines was founded in 2005 and was owned by Job Air . The specified ICAO code also belongs to Job Air. After first trying their hand at the Czech domestic market and with charter orders, the company was restructured in early 2012 and took over two Saab 340Bs from Czech Airlines at the end of March 2012 and operated them in cooperation with them on feeders - and regional routes. Czech Airlines had previously operated this itself.

However, on the evening of June 18, 2012, Central Connect Airlines stopped flight operations at short notice after the financial resources were insufficient to continue operations. The routes were initially unsupervised. A restructuring was aimed at in order to be able to resume flight operations later. Until then, the two remaining Saab 340Bs were used for the Finnish Air100 .

At the end of June 2014 it was announced that Central Connect Airlines will cease operations on June 30, 2014. In addition to the services for Air100, charter orders had recently been flown. There was no resumption of the former line operation.

Destinations

Central Connect Airlines operated several European scheduled connections for Czech Airlines until mid-2012 , but these have since been discontinued. Only the Helsinki-Pori route for Air100 was served until operations ceased in mid-2014.
