The 1977/78 season was the Central Hockey League's 15th regular season . The six teams were supposed to play 76 games each in the regular season , but the Phoenix Roadrunners stopped playing during the current season. The Central Hockey League was played in a division . The team with the highest points in the regular season were the Fort Worth Texans , who also prevailed in the final games of the Adams Cup .
