The Centro Olimpico Biathlon ( German  Olympic Biathlon Center ) was a biathlon facility in Cesana Torinese , Italy .

history

For the 2006 Winter Olympics , a venue for the biathlon competitions had to be created. The Centro Olimpico Biathlon, which the organizers of the games described as the “safest, most modern and most spectacular” of its kind, was built for 26.4 million euros .

The route was four kilometers long and had a total ascent of 620 meters and an altitude difference of 65 meters. The shooting range had a total of 30 places with electronic targets. A multifunctional building for media representatives was also built in the finish area. After the winter games, the site was to be retained as a training and competition site and the service areas were to be converted to accommodate guests.

In the meantime, the complex is no longer used for biathlon, so tennis courts have been built at the shooting range and the building in the target area is a hotel.
