Cesare Cremonini (born March 27, 1980 in Bologna ) is an Italian singer , songwriter and occasional film actor . After his successful debut in the band Lùnapop in 1999, he started a no less successful solo career in 2002.

Career

Cremonini learned the piano as a child . After discovering rock through a Queen album , he founded the school band Senza filtro in the mid-1990s , with whom he performed in pubs and at school events. This went into 1999 in the band Lùnapop , which had enormous success with their debut album at the turn of the millennium. After the band broke up in 2001, Cremonini began a solo career in collaboration with the former Lùnapop bassist Nicola "Ballo" Balestri. In 2002 he was first seen as the leading actor in the film Un amore perfetto at the side of Martina Stella , then he released his first solo album Bagus . It contained several successful singles, including the song Vieni a vedere perché , which reached number three on the single charts. In 2003 a special edition of the album was released.

After recording at London's Abbey Road Studios , Cremonini released his second solo album Maggese in 2005 . The most successful single from it was Marmellata # 25 . The live album 1 + 8 + 24 emerged in 2006 from the extensive tour that followed. In 2007 the musician wrote the score for the docu-drama I giorni dell'odio ( Canale 5 ), but the following year he released his third album, Il primo bacio sulla luna , which was preceded by the single Dicono di me . With Le ali sotto ai piedi he published an autobiographical book in 2009 . In 2010 the compilation 1999-2010 The Greatest Hits was released , on which Cremonini collected both Lùnapop hits and his own successes. The album also contained two new songs: Mondo (with Jovanotti ) and Hello! (with Malika Ayane ), both top 10 hits in the single charts.

After a tour, the musician signed a new record deal with Universal in 2011 . In the same year he took on his second film role in Pupi Avatis Il cuore grande della ragazze . The single Il comico (Sai ​​che risate) announced the fourth studio album La teoria dei colori in 2012 . The song Amor mio , sung by Gianni Morandi in the soundtrack of the film Padroni di casa by Edoardo Gabriellini , earned Cremonini a Nastro d'Argento for the best film song. 2013 was the musician with the single La nuova stella di Broadway a hit and was with guest articles on the albums Max 20 by Max Pezzali and Fisico & politico of Luca Carboni to hear before he reported back to 2014 with its own album: Logico # 1 reached Cremonini's first solo album topped the album charts. The title track and the single GreyGoose were also successful.

A tour and another live album followed ( Più che logico 2015, with four new songs). At the end of 2015, the box set Logico Project and the Christmas single Eccolo qua il Natale - Una notte tra tante were released for Radio DeeJay . After a break of almost two years, Cremonini's new single Poetica was released in 2017 , which introduced the sixth studio album Possibili scenari . This again reached the top of the chart and was reissued at the end of 2018 as Possibili scenari per piano e voce in an acoustic version (only vocals and piano).
