The Chüealphorn is 3078 m above sea level. M. high mountain in the Albula Alps in the Swiss canton of Graubünden .
Location and surroundings
The Chüealphorn lies between the Sertig Pass in the west and the Scalettapass in the east. The Val Funtauna extends south of the mountain, the north side of the mountain is glaciated with the small Chüealp glacier. The border between the Davos and S-chanf communities runs on the Chüealphorn .
Routes to the summit
The starting point for an ascent of the Chüealphorn is usually at 2007 m above sea level. M. located Dürrboden . From there, a marked hiking trail leads to the Scalettapass. In a west-south-westerly direction one then climbs pathlessly over a broad ridge to some small lakes fed by the Chüealp glacier. Then it goes over the rib north of the river to the Chüealp glacier. This is crossed in a southerly direction with the appropriate equipment until you reach a large scree field east of the summit structure (possibly slightly descending). You climb over the scree field to the east ridge and finally the summit is reached over this ridge.
