The 22nd FIH Champions Trophy for women in hockey took place between June 18 and 26, 2016 in London , United Kingdom . The winner of the tournament is Argentina .
Attendees
In contrast to the previous editions, there were six participants instead of eight. The host, the winner of the 2012 Olympic tournament , the winner of the 13th World Cup 2014 , the winner of the FIH Hockey World League 2014–2015 , the winner of the FIH Champions Challenge 2014 were eligible to participate . Another nation was invited by the FIH Executive Committee. In the event that nations meet more than one of the above criteria, the Executive Committee invited additional nations. This resulted in the following participants for this tournament:
