Chantal (singer)
Chantal Joanna Hendrika Lampe Roeters (born July 19, 1981 in 's-Hertogenbosch , Netherlands ) is a former German-speaking pop singer , best known under her name Chantal . Now she performs under the name Joanna Lampe .
Life
Chantal grew up on a farm with grandparents, parents and sister. When she was 14, she faxed a Dutch call TV station with Laura Pausini's song Strani Amori and won. The first record deal was the result, and since the company was part of an Austrian company, production was in German.
Chantal performed in the Netherlands , Germany and Austria , always accompanied by his parents in the caravan. She learned to perfect her craft at appearances on the ZDF television garden, the popular hit parade, at the Klostertaler Open Air or in front of 26,000 people in the Amsterdam football stadium. In between she did her Abitur .
In 2001 she recorded the hit Dominica with the hit band Atlantis and was able to place herself in the German charts. With her second album Heart Feeling , she achieved good placements. In the meantime their son Ciaran was born and traveled with his parents from performance to performance between the Netherlands and Austria. New songs were produced with Oliver Haidt and a second child was born.
Chantal began a distance learning course in cultural studies at a Dutch university . She also began to write her own songs and got to know her then producer team Norbert Beyerlein and Werner Schüler in early 2006. At the beginning of 2007 the first songs were produced in German and Dutch. The Dutch record company "Red Bullet" signed a long-term contract with Chantal and took over the songs produced by "Daxhill" for the Benelux countries .
Chantal and her husband Daniel have three sons, Ciaran (born November 24, 2003), Nuallan (born November 19, 2004) and Breadan (born January 2, 2008).
In 2009 the new Dutch hit channel "Schlager TV" was launched. Chantal joined this new project as managing director. For the first time she also showed her skills as a director and screenwriter of her own show "So Schön ist ...".
In 2010 Chantal took over the project management for the legendary Schlagerfestival Kerkrade , which was moderated by pop singer Dennie Christian in the 1990s and broadcast in Germany by RTL Plus . The first new edition of the festival was produced with great success in the renewed Rodahalle Kerkrade on April 5th, 2010. Due to the great success, another episode was recorded in Kerkrade on April 25, 2011. This program was taken over for television by the Dutch channel Nederland 2 .
At the end of 2011, the singer announced that she would end her pop career after 15 years. The ship of my dreams was her last single for the time being.
In 2013 the singer, who was living in Austria at the time, became aware of the country rock project "High South" and made the decision to return to the stage as a solo artist. She found her own style in the new American country music, changed her name to Joanna Lampe and released her new programmatic single Gotta Start Somewhere that same year .
