Charalambos Mavrias ( Greek Χαράλαμπος Μαυρίας ; also Charalampos Mavrias ), better known as Charis Mavrias ( Greek Χάρης Μαυρίας , born February 21, 1994 in Zakynthos ), is a Greek football player .
Career
society
Charis Mavrias began his career in the youth departments of Panathinaikos Athens . In 2010 Mavrias received a professional contract and moved to the professional squad of Panathinaikos. On October 20, 2010, he made his UEFA Champions League debut in an encounter against Rubin Kazan , becoming the youngest Greek player and second-youngest player ever to be used in a European Cup game after Celestine Babayaro . Mavrias was 16 years, seven months and 30 days old at the time. On July 31, 2012, he scored his first goal in an international competitive match in a UEFA Champions League qualifier against FC Motherwell . Mavrias became the youngest player for Panathinaikos to score in a European game. For the second half of the 2014/15 season he returned on loan to his old club Panathinaikos Athens.
On January 27, 2016, he also moved to Fortuna Düsseldorf on loan for the rest of the season . On March 19, 2016, the 27th matchday, he scored his first goal for the German second division team in a 4-3 home win against 1. FC Kaiserslautern . For the 2016/17 season, Charalampos Mavrias signed a contract with Karlsruher SC and will remain with Badner until June 30, 2019, after he had previously terminated his contract with Sunderland. After KSC was relegated, he moved to HNK Rijeka in the summer of 2017 . In October 2018 he signed with Hibernian Edinburgh in Scotland . He left the club in December and joined Omonia Nicosia in Cyprus in January 2019 .
National team
With the U-19s he won the European Vice Championship as a regular player in 2012. Mavrias made his debut with the men's national team in a World Cup qualifier against Lithuania on September 11, 2012.
