Kharlamov Trofi
The Kharlamov Trofi ( Russian Харламов Трофи , English Kharlamov Trophy ) is an ice hockey award launched by the Russian newspaper Sowetski Sport . It has been awarded annually to the best Russian player in the North American Ice Hockey League National Hockey League since the end of the 2002/03 season . The winner of the award will be chosen by the Russian players of the NHL through a choice.
The award is named after Valery Kharlamov , one of the best Soviet players of all time. The first winner of the award was Sergei Fyodorov , the record winner is Alexander Ovechkin with seven awards.
