Charles-Louis Seck

Charles-Louis Seck (born May 11, 1965 ) is a former Senegalese track and field athlete who specialized in the sprint.

Athletic career

In 1984 Charles-Louis Seck competed in the 100-meter run at the African Championships . With 10.49 s he could win the silver medal.

In the same year he took part in the Olympic Games in Los Angeles . Over 100 m he reached the quarter-finals with 10.45 s in the lead, in which he was eliminated with 10.54 s. The season with Seck as the final runner qualified for the semifinals with 40.15 seconds. Here the season was eliminated with 40.63 s.

At the following African Championships in 1985 in Cairo and in 1988 in Annaba , Algeria , Charles-Louis Seck won two more silver medals over 100 m. In between, he won at the in Nairobi discharged Africa Games in 1987 a bronze medal.

In Seoul , Seck took part in the Olympic Games in 1988 only in the individual competition. As in 1984, he qualified for the quarter-finals with 10.64 seconds ahead. And this time too he was eliminated here. His time this time was 10.41 s.

A bronze medal in the individual competition was the yield at the African Championships in 1990 in Cairo. In 1992 in Belle Vue Maurel on Mauritius another silver medal was added.

Seck then competed for the third time at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona . In the individual competition he failed with 10.57 s in the preliminary round. In the relay , Seck was used as the starting runner. However, the team retired with 40.13 s in the preliminary round.

Charles-Louis Seck's best time over the 100 m was 10.19 s, which he achieved in a competition on August 9, 1986 in Aix-les-Bains .
