Charles Alphonse Armand Vanuytven OPraem (born April 25, 1880 in Geel , Belgium , † March 18, 1969 ) was a Belgian religious and Roman Catholic Vicar Apostolic of Buta .

Life

Charles Alphonse Armand Vanuytven joined the religious order of the Premonstratensians at and received on 28 December 1903, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On April 25, 1924, Pope Pius XI appointed him . the titular bishop of Megara and Vicar Apostolic of West-Uélé (later Buta). The Bishop of Namur , Thomas Louis Heylen OPraem, donated him episcopal ordination on September 11th of the same year ; Co-consecrators were the auxiliary bishop in Mechelen , Antoine Alphonse de Wachter , and the emeritus Vicar Apostolic of Denmark , Josef Ludwig Brems OPraem.

Charles Alphonse Armand Vanuytven resigned as Vicar Apostolic of Buta in December 1952. Vanuytven participated in all four sessions of the Second Vatican Council .
