Georges Désiré Raeymaeckers OPraem (born January 21, 1899 in Geel , Belgium , † October 10, 1960 ) was a Belgian religious and Roman Catholic bishop of Buta .

Life

Georges Désiré Raeymaeckers joined the religious order of the Premonstratensians at and received on 1 November 1924, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On February 4, 1953, Pope Pius XII appointed him . the titular bishop of Mariamne and Apostolic Vicar of Buta. The retired Vicar Apostolic of Buta, Charles Alphonse Armand Vanuytven OPraem, donated him episcopal ordination on May 26th of the same year ; Co-consecrators were the Apostolic Vicar Emeritus of Niangara , Robert Constant Lagae OP , and the Apostolic Vicar Emeritus of Denmark , Josef Ludwig Brems OPraem.

Georges Désiré Raeymaeckers was on November 10, 1959 as a result of the elevation of the Apostolic Vicariate of Buta to the diocese of first bishop of Buta.
