Robert Constant Lagae

Robert Constant Lagae OP (born November 20, 1882 in Heule , Kortrijk parish , Belgium ; † May 16, 1966 ) was a Belgian religious and Roman Catholic Vicar Apostolic of Niangara .

Life

Robert Constant Lagae joined the religious order of the Dominicans at and received on 21 September 1907, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On November 27, 1924, Pope Pius XI appointed him . the titular of Tricca and Vicar Apostolic of East Uélé (later Niangara). The Archbishop of Mechelen , Désiré-Joseph Cardinal Mercier , donated him episcopal ordination on June 11, 1925 ; Co-consecrators were the auxiliary bishop in Ghent , Eugène Victor Marie Van Rechem , and the coadjutor bishop of Liège , Louis-Joseph Kerkhofs .

Robert Constant Lagae resigned as Vicar Apostolic of Niangara in February 1948.
