Charles Darwin Cooper (born August 11, 1926 in San Francisco , California - † November 29, 2013 in Los Angeles , California) was an American actor who played a wide variety of roles in television and cinema from 1950 to 2001 .
life and career
Cooper was born in San Francisco on August 11, 1926. He got his first acting experience at the age of 15 in a Hamlet stage production in San Francisco.
Television and cinema
He made his film debut in 1950 in Mr. HC Andersen at the side of Ashley Glynne and Dafydd Havard . This was followed in the 1950s almost exclusively series appearances, including in Alfred Hitchcock Presents , Smoking Colts and Bonanza .
Throughout the 1960s, he continued to appear primarily in television series, including Perry Mason , FBI, and The Aquanauts . He also worked in Nancy, an ice cold playgirl as a Senator, along with Ryan O'Neal and Leigh Taylor-Young .
After that, after a long break, he returned to television in 1975, in the series Detective Rockford - a call is enough . In the same year he played a role in the TV movie Conspiracy of Terror . He appeared in Our Little Farm and Lou Grant in the late 1970s .
He was involved in two Star Trek projects: In 1989 he was in Star Trek V: On the Edge of the Universe as the Klingon General Korrd . The following year he portrayed the Klingon Chancellor K'mpec in two episodes in Starship Enterprise: The Next Century .
In the 1990s he was less active. Cooper played in Dallas for the second time in 1990 . In Twice Under he portrayed Sergeant Fritz . 1995 he portrayed Ty Bodi in Huntress: Spirit of the Night . In Vamps he was seen as Max in the same year . Also in 1995, he starred in Panther alongside Kadeem Hardison , Angela Bassett and Courtney B. Vance . In several episodes of Practice - The Lawyers , he portrayed the judge Robert Boucher.
In the 2000s, his appearances decreased more. He appeared in April's Fool in 2001 as Jimmy with Mike Dennis and Kristin Vandivier . In 2007 he was seen in the short video Love Your Customers .
