Charles Knode

Charles Knode (born before 1967) is a British costume designer .

Life

Knode was educated at the Wimbledon School of Art . He started his career in television in 1967. His early work included the 1968 television film The Three Princes with Timothy Dalton in the lead role. In 1974 he was nominated for the first Primetime Emmy for the miniseries War and Peace . The following year, he entered two different, not mentioned in the credits, small roles in Monty Python - Comedy and the Holy Grail on. He worked on Terry Gilliam's Jabberwocky in 1977 and on The Life of Brian in 1979 , where he did another one Performed extras . In 1983 he received the BAFTA Film Awards for Best Costumes for Blade Runner .

In 1996 he was nominated for an Oscar in the category Best Costume Design for Braveheart , and he also received his second BAFTA Film Award. In 1999 he was awarded the Primetime Emmy for the television film Alice in Wonderland .
