C. Lewis Cocke
Charles Lewis Cocke (* 1940 ) is an American physicist .
Cocke received his BA from Haverford College in 1962 and a PhD in Physics from California Institute of Technology in 1967 . He moved to the Center de Recherches Nucléaires in Strasbourg for 2 years . Cocke has been with Kansas State University since 1969 and is currently a director at the JR Macdonald Laboratory. He was also visiting professor at Aarhus University , Johann Wolfgang Goethe University Frankfurt am Main , Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and Stockholm University.
His main research interests in atomic physics deal with energetic ion-atom collisions, especially with highly charged ions.
