Charlie Martin (born July 22, 1972 in Emmerich ) is a German magician , presenter and entertainer .

Early career

According to his own statements, Charlie Martin began magic in 1989 after he was initiated into the first secrets by a magician at a festival. In 1992, as a 19-year-old - and thus the youngest - participant in the TV show Showmaster, he took third place.

Since 1999 he has been the “house magician” of the Apollo Varieté in Düsseldorf . He can also be seen briefly in the city's image film.

Engagements

Martin had engagements in the Witzigmann Palazzo in Munich, Frankfurt and Cologne, as well as in the dinner tent panem et circenses of the Circus Roncalli at the Jagdhaus Schellenberg. He performed in the Culture Club of the Jazz-Schmiede in Düsseldorf and as a presenter at the Christopher Street Day in Düsseldorf.

Awards

In June 1998 he won the audience award at the Schmidt Theater in Hamburg as part of a young talent show and the first prize as part of a public event at Phantasialand .

Programs

In 2010 Charlie Martin put together his first solo program Zaubertainment . In 2012 the full-length show All that Variety followed , in which Martin worked with comedians, artists and a chansonnier. The 2014 Hautnah program is intended to enable direct contact between the audience and the artist.
