Chase & Status
Chase & Status are in London living Electronica duo, the music from the categories Drum and Bass and Dubstep produced. The real names of the two musicians are Saul Milton and Will Kennard.
Career
They celebrated initial success with the 12 "releases Iron Fist / Zulu King , Love's Theme / Wise Up (Remix) , Dumpling Riddim / Disco and the 2006 single The Druids . This included the song Come Back , in which the rapper Top Cat takes over the singing and was often played on the English broadcaster Radio 1 .
Milton and Kennard were able to achieve a total of three number 1 chart placements in the UK dance charts. First in 2007 with the single Hurt You / Sell Me Your Soul , followed by Take Me Away / Judgment (Informer) 2008. On October 5th of the same year, Pieces , which was recorded together with Plan B , also reached first place and number 70 in the national single charts. The single end credits , also produced with Plan B, became part of the soundtrack for the film Harry Brown .
Chase & Status were largely involved in the production of Rihanna's fourth studio album, Rated R (2009).
Albums
Their first album, More Than Alot , reached number 49 in the UK album charts and number 2 in the dance charts on October 19, 2008. The long player was re-released on May 31, 2010 via Mercury Records under the title More Than Alot: New Edition including the tracks Saxon , Heartbeat (C&S Mix) and In Love (featuring Jenna G.) previously only available on singles .
Her second long player No More Idols was released on January 31, 2011 via Mercury Records. The duo made it possible for interested parties to hear 60 seconds of all the tracks on the album via the band's own YouTube channel before it was released .
On October 7, 2013, their third studio album, Brand New Machine , was released, for which they collaborated with Nile Rodgers , Major Lazer and Skrillex , among others . The first single, Lost & Not Found , reached number 9, the second single, Count on Me, number 5 on the UK charts .
In 2016 the first single of their fourth studio album, Tribe , was released with Control (feat. Slaves ) . Four more followed, on which guest contributions by Novelist, Tom Grennan, Blossoms and Emeli Sandé could be heard. The album was released on August 18, 2017.
