The Chatyrka ( Russian Хатырка ) is a 367 km long tributary of the Bering Sea in the extreme southeast of the Chukchi Autonomous Okrug in the Far East of Russia .

River course

The Chatyrka rises in the Koryak Mountains on the border with the Kamchatka region . The headwaters are at an altitude of about 600  m . The Chatyrka flows 250 km in a predominantly east-northeast direction. After the confluence of the Rytgylweem , the Chatyrka turns towards the south-southeast. It eventually reaches the estuary on the coast of the Bering Sea. This is separated from the open sea by a long headland. The place Chatyrka at the output of the estuary. The Chatyrka drains an area of ​​13,400 km². This extends north of the border with the Kamchatka region. The Chatyrka has an average discharge of 174 m³ / s.
