Cherry Hills Village is a Home Rule Municipality in Arapahoe County in Colorado , United States . In 2000 the place had 5958 inhabitants. With an average household income of 232,492 dollars , the city is one of the most prosperous settlements in the United States.
One of Colorado's most prestigious schools, the Kent Denver School , where Madeleine Albright studied, is located here.
The city has hosted the PGA Championship twice (1941 and 1985) and also hosted the 2005 US Women's Open Golf Championship .

Demographics
At the time of the 2000 United States Census , the city had 5,958 residents. The population density was 369.8 people per km ². There were 2023 housing units at an average of 125.6 per km ². The Cherry Hills Village population was 96.06% White , 0.64% Black or African Americans , 0.15% Native Americans , 1.51% Asians , 0.57% said they were racial , and 1, 07% named two or more races. 1.88% of the population declared to be Hispanic or Latinos of any race.
The city dwellers were distributed among 1980 households, 45.8% of which had children under the age of 18. 84.0% of households were married, 3.5% had a female head of the household without a husband, and 10.8% were not families. 9.1% of households were made up of individuals and someone lived in 5.3% of all households aged 65 years or older. The average household size was 3.01 and the average family size was 3.20.
