Cheryl Miller (born January 3, 1964 in Riverside , California ) is a former American basketball player . She is considered to be one of the best players in the history of women's basketball. Miller is 1.88 m tall and played on the position of the forwards . Her brother Reggie was also a very successful basketball player.

Miller made history while she was still in high school . She was the first basketball player (male or female) to be elected to the Parade All-American Team four times. In her last two HS years, 1981 and 1982, she was voted the best high school player in the country. Your team lost only four of 136 games in four years. In a 1982 game, Miller scored 105 points. Overall, she had an average of 32.8 points and 15 rebounds per game.

At the University of Southern California Miller also succeeded in all four years (1982-1986) to be elected to the All-American team. She was voted best college player in the country three times (1984-1986). In 1986, Sports Illustrated even considered her the best overall college player, male or female. The USC Trojans team won the NCAA Division I Basketball Championship in 1983 and 1984 thanks to Miller .

At the 1984 Olympics , she was part of the United States women's national basketball team , which won gold sovereignly. Miller's college career ended in 1986, and since there was no women's league (the WNBA wasn't founded until 1996), there was no way for her to pursue a professional career. From 1997 to 2000 she finally tried her hand as a trainer of the Phoenix Mercury in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA).
