The Cheylard (in the upper reaches: Mercoire ) is a river in France that runs in the Lozère department in the Occitanie region . It rises in the northern Cevennes , at the Moure de la Gardille summit , in the municipality of Saint-Frézal-d'Albuges , generally drains north to northeast and flows after 10 kilometers at the Moulin des Huttes , in the municipality of Cheylard-l'Évêque , as a left tributary in the Langouyrou .
