Chiefs Hall of Fame

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Chiefs Hall of Fame is an exhibition area at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City where the Kansas City Chiefs honor those who have made outstanding contributions to the team. The Chiefs Hall of Fame was founded in 1970 and is the second oldest hall of fame in the National Football League (NFL) after the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame . It currently has 49 members and is expanded by one person every year in an acceptance ceremony. Anyone who has worked for the Chiefs for at least four seasons and has resigned from football for at least four seasons is eligible. There are also exceptions to the rule. Joe Delaney only played for the Chiefs for two years and Derrick Thomas was accepted into the hall just a year after his death.
