The Chicago gang or Hans-Albers-Platz-Gruppe ( HAP-Gruppe ) was next to the GMBH and the Nutella gang, a smaller pimp and drug dealer organization ( cocaine ) and grouped around Reinhard "Ringo" Klemm . Because of their proximity to the hit man "Mucki" Pinzner , the Chicago gang was classified as the most dangerous of the three.

District

The Chicago gang territory stretched south of the Reeperbahn to the Elbe, seen from the Millerntor . The northernmost point was the Palais d'Amour on Reeperbahn No. 142, where "Viennese Peter" Nusser had his main activities. The Chicago gang was in conflict with the Nutella gang and the group around Stefan Hentschel . Your relationship with the GMBH is unclear.

history

The headquarters of the Chicago gang, which formed in the late 1970s, was the former “Chikago” ice cream parlor on Hans-Albers-Platz in Hamburg-St. Pauli . The "Chikago" has been renamed several times, including "Chicago", and is now called Frieda B. and is located at Friedrichstrasse 17, which is adjacent to H.-Albers-Platz. The lower part was used as a music bar and restaurant , and a brothel (“Chicago II”) with 15 rooms was set up on the upper floor . The "Chicago" was, among other things, a meeting place for a hard core of pimps. In addition, pimps from all over Germany met there in a separate room every Thursday to play cards ( poker ). In 1972 the previous operator of the “Chikago” “Jonny” Burger had an accident in a car and Reinhard “Ringo” Klemm got in. Klemm ran the restaurant together with Janny Gakomiros until the late 1970s. In 1977 he took over the "Chicago" alone. The Chicago gang got into the cocaine business in the early 1980s. The drug trade brought a whole new dimension of violence to the red light district . For example, “Viennese Peter” Nusser and his business partner Gerd “Archangel” Gabriel, who owned the trucking brothel “Hammer Deich” on Süderstrasse, ordered several murders of competitors from “Mucki” Pinzner. Well-known victims were Jehuda Arzi († July 7, 1984), “Bayern-Peter” Peter Pfeilmaier († September 12, 1984), “Lackschuh-Dieter” Dietmar Traub († November 13, 1984), and “Neger Waldi” Waldemar Dammer and Ralf Kühne († Easter 1985).

Reinhard "Ringo" Klemm

Reinhard "Ringo" Klemm, born in 1946 in Saxony , was 1.67 meters tall and inferior to most pimps in terms of strength, mass and physical charisma, and yet he was called the "godfather of Hans-Albers-Platz". In the 1970s, Klemm, together with “Stutter-Harry”, “Dakota-Uwe” (Uwe Carstens, the right hand of the red light godfather Wilfried “Frieda” Schulz) and “Tabak-Ilja”, was supposed to be the Italian gangster Sergio di Cola after the latter had lured several girls away from them. A crime that could never be proven to him. In 1986 , Klemm got involved in the investigation into the contract killings of "Mucki" Pinzner. He was charged with inciting murder by the prosecutor . On December 11, 1986, a hundred stormed "Chicago". Klemm flees over the rooftops and sets off in a spectacular escape to Costa Rica . The Central American country had become a haven for German pimps for some time . One of them was Günter Stumme, the owner of the “Sudfass” brothels in Hamburg and Lübeck, who later also belonged to the inner circle around “Ringo” Klemm. In Costa Rica, Klemm made several investments in real estate, a banana plantation, expanded his drug business and operated a brothel chain with his partners, which the BKA investigators called “pig farm”. In the end, Klemm was extradited and tried in Hamburg. After a short prison sentence, he reopened “Chikago” and had himself photographed in the trendy bar with celebrities like Nina Hagen , Udo Lindenberg or Jörg Immendorff .
