Ching-Yun Hu

Ching-Yun Hu (* 1982 in Taipei ) is a Taiwanese pianist who lives in the USA .

Life

Ching-Yun Hu went to the United States at the age of 14 to continue her studies at the Juilliard School in New York with Herbert Stessin , Oxana Yablonskaya , Joseph Kalichstein and Seymour Lipkin . The pianist u. a. with Richard Goode , Murray Perahia and Sergei Babayan . She is currently working in the solo class with Karl-Heinz Kämmerling at the University of Music and Theater in Hanover .

Ching-Yun Hu has performed on all five continents, including the Wigmore Hall in London , the Alice Tully Hall in New York, the Tel Aviv Opera House , the Gulbenkian Foundation in Lisbon , the Great Hall of the Franz Liszt Academy in Budapest , the National Concert Hall in Taipei, the Kennedy Center in Washington , the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam , the Ruhr Piano Festival , the Herkulessaal in Munich , the Salle Cortot in Paris , the Aspen Music Festival , the Chopin International Festival in Poland and the Maputo International Music Festival in Mozambique , and has played with well-known orchestras including the National Symphony Orchestra of Taiwan, the Taipei Philharmonic Orchestra, the Evergreen Symphony Orchestra, the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra, the Israel Symphony Orchestra, the Maidstone Symphony Orchestra, the Philadelphia Orchestra , the Aspen Concert Orchestra, the New York Sinfonietta, the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra and the World Fes tival orchestra.
