Chojasivi (also Chojasihui ) is a town in the La Paz department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Location in the vicinity

Chojasivi is the central place of the canton Chojasivi in the municipality of Pucarani in the province of Los Andes . The village is located at an altitude of 3830  m, only one kilometer from the southeastern edge of Lake Titicaca , from here the wide plain of the Bolivian highlands extends to the southeast beyond El Alto and Calamarca .

Chojasivi lies on the Bolivian Altiplano between the Andes mountain ranges of the Cordillera Occidental in the west and the Cordillera Central in the east. The climate of the region is semi-humid and a typical time of day climate , in which the mean temperature fluctuations during the day are more pronounced than during the year.

Chojasivi is located 78 kilometers by road west of La Paz , the capital of the department.
