Calls

The soviet gunboat krasnoye znamya stood together with the Grosjaschtschi throughout the First World War in the Baltic Sea region in the fight and was the most significant actions, such as the struggle for the Gulf of Riga in 1915, the defense of the German Osel company in the fall of 1917 and the Ice Cruise of the Baltic Fleet involved . The two ships were mostly used as cover for destroyers and for coastal bombardment.

After the Winter War -ending Treaty of Moscow between Finland and the Soviet Union was the boat on Lavensaari , one of the newly occupied islands in the Gulf of Finland , stationed. On November 18, 1942, three Finnish speedboats attacked the port of Lavisaari in the course of the so-called Continuation War and sank the Krasnoye Znamia with a torpedo hit. The ship sank the following morning and was not lifted until November 13, 1943 and put back into service on September 17, 1944.

The boat was not taken out of service until 1956 and was scrapped from 1960 to 1962.
