Chris Durno (born October 31, 1980 in Scarborough , Ontario ) is a former Canadian ice hockey player who was last under contract with Ritten Sport in the Italian A1 series .

Career

Chris Durno began his career as a hockey player on the Michigan Technological University team , for which he was active from 1999 to 2003. The attacker then received a contract with the Gwinnett Gladiators , for which he spent the following two years in the ECHL . At the beginning of the 2005/06 season he was appointed by the Milwaukee Admirals from the American Hockey League , with whom he failed in the playoffs for the Calder Cup only in the finals at the Hershey Bears . During the following season, the left shooter ran one after the other for the Norfolk Admirals , Portland Pirates and his ex-club Milwaukee Admirals, before he was committed by their league rivals San Antonio Rampage in the summer of 2008 , which he left after only one year.

For the 2008/09 season Durno signed with the Colorado Avalanche , for which he made his debut in the National Hockey League , where he remained pointless and punished in two games. Most of the season he spent again in the American Hockey League with their farm team, the Lake Erie Monsters . In July 2010, the free agent received a contract with the Tampa Bay Lightning , who used him on the farm team at the Norfolk Admirals . On July 15, 2011, he signed a one-year two-way contract with the Carolina Hurricanes . In mid-November 2012 he moved to Italy, where he signed with Ritten Sport from the A1 series . There he ended his active career after the 2012/13 season.
