Chris Wardlaw
Chris Wardlaw (actually Christopher Wardlaw; born March 3, 1950 in Penrith City ) is a former Australian long-distance runner .
In 1975 he came in 47th place at the World Cross Country Championships in Rabat and was Australian champion over 10,000 m . At the Victoria Marathon Championships he finished second in 2:21:42 hours.
In 1976 he won Bay to Breakers . At the Olympic Games in Montreal, he was twelfth over 10,000 m and ran in the marathon to 35th place.
In 1977 he finished 23rd at the Cross Country World Cup in Düsseldorf and gave up over 10,000 m at the Athletics World Cup in Düsseldorf . The following year he was seventh in the Fukuoka Marathon in 2:13:02 h.
In 1979 he came in 17th place at the Cross Country World Championships in Limerick . At the Montreal Marathon he was third in 2:13:52 h and in Fukuoka again seventh in 2:11:55 h.
In 1980 he qualified third in the Australian elimination race in 2:12:47 h for the marathon of the Olympic Games in Moscow , in which he finished in 28th place.
At the World Cross Country Championship in Madrid in 1981 he finished his sporting career with an 82nd place.
