Christian August Gottlieb Göde
Christian August Gottlieb Göde (also Goede ; born February 20, 1774 in Dresden , † July 2, 1812 in Göttingen ) was a German law scholar and university professor .
Life
Göde studied at the University of Leipzig and was awarded a Dr. iur. PhD . He then accompanied the Legation Councilor Ernst von Blümner to Great Britain from 1802 to 1805 . On his return he received an extraordinary professorship in philosophy and law from the University of Jena .
In 1806 Göde fled from Jena to Göttingen for fear of the French troops, because he had written an essay from which he assumed that Napoleon could sanction him. At the University of Göttingen in 1807 he was given a full professorship in law. However, he died after a few years in office.
