Christian Berger (born May 9, 1997 ) is an Austrian football player .
Career
Berger started his career at SVU Murau . In 2011 he came to the Academy of Kapfenberger SV . In May 2013 he was against the Union Vöcklamarkt for the first time in the amateur squad of the KSV. In the same month he finally made his debut for this in the regional league when he came on as a substitute for Ivica Lucić on matchday 27 of the 2012/13 season against USV Allerheiligen in the 80th minute .
For the 2013/14 season he was awarded to the seventh-class second team of SVA Kindberg , for which he was active for one season. After returning to the amateurs of Kapfenberg, he scored his first goal in a 3-1 win against SC Fürstenfeld in May 2015 for the team, which has since been relegated to the state league .
In August 2015 Berger was for the first time in the professional squad of Kapfenberg against SKN St. Pölten . He finally made his debut in the second division in November 2015 when he came on as a substitute for Dimitry Imbongo in the 80th minute against FC Wacker Innsbruck on matchday 19 of the 2015/16 season . By the end of the season, Berger made four more appearances in the second division.
For the 2016/17 season he moved to league rivals SC Wiener Neustadt . Due to injury, however, he only made five appearances for the fifth-rate amateurs with the Lower Austrians, for which he scored three goals.
For the 2017/18 season, Berger moved to the regional division SC Kalsdorf . He scored his first goal in the regional league in October 2017 in a 3-2 win against USV Allerheiligen . By the end of the season he made 20 league appearances in the regional league, in which he scored six goals.
For the 2018/19 season he joined the regional league promoted Grazer AK . After promotion to the 2nd division with the GAK, he left the club after the 2018/19 season and moved to the regional division Deutschlandsberger SC . After 15 regional league appearances for the DSC, he moved to league competitor USV Allerheiligen in February 2020 .
