Christian Enoch Wiesener

Christian Enoch Wiesener (born October 27, 1798 in Barth ; † July 5, 1861 in Wolgast ) was a German Evangelical Lutheran clergyman and poet. He was superintendent of the Wolgast Synod from 1836 until his death .

Life

Born as the son of an organist in Barth , he attended the city school in Barth and studied at the University of Greifswald from 1818 . In addition to theology and philosophy , he also attended lectures on history and mathematics.

From 1822 he taught the children of a captain von Corswant in Kuntzow as a private tutor . The youngest daughter, Emilie von Corswant, later became his wife. During his time as a tutor, he passed the theological exams. In 1823 he became a pastor in Reinkenhagen . He wrote lyrical poems that were published in the magazine Sundine , an entertainment paper published by Friedrich von Suckow in Stralsund. He also published a collection of his sermons under the title "Das Gotteshaus".

In 1836 he was appointed superintendent in Wolgast. Here he wrote a short story about the robbery of the ducal tomb .
