Reinkenhagen is a district of the municipality of Sundhagen in the district of Vorpommern-Rügen, northwest of Greifswald .

history

The village church was built in the 13th century. From the end of the Thirty Years War until 1815 Reinkenhagen belonged to Swedish Pomerania . Then it fell to Prussia as part of New Western Pomerania .

The statistics from 1871 say: There are 17 houses with 40 families in Reinkenhagen - Dorf, it had 180 inhabitants, in 1867 there were only 150. Reinkenhagen - Hof had 5 houses with 14 households and 80 inhabitants, in 1867 there were 109. That means that resettlement took place here. All residents were of the Protestant denomination.

1961 in Reinkenhagen for the first time DDR type region petroleum discovered and supported to 1996th Until the merger of the municipalities of Miltzow , Behnkendorf , Brandshagen , Horst , Kirchdorf , Reinberg and Wilmshagen to form the new municipality of Sundhagen on June 7, 2009, Reinkenhagen was part of the municipality of Miltzow, where it was incorporated on July 1, 1950.
