history

Klein Miltzow was founded as a Slavic settlement before the 13th century, as the name Klein Miltzow suggests.

Miltzow - probably Groß Miltzow was first mentioned in a document as Mildessowe in December 1313 . It was an early German (1230 to 1400) foundation, as evidenced by a document on Mildesouwe dated February 2, 1325 with the names of three German residents. Today's Miltzow (previously also called Neu Miltzow) did not exist according to the Swedish matriculation card from 1696. Klein Miltzow was not yet designated as such in 1696. It was the northern part of what is now the neighboring settlement of Reinkenhagen .

Klein Miltzow developed early on into an estate village with the dominant estate and the associated farm workers' Katensiedlung. In the PUM from 1835 (Prussian Urmes table sheet) a large square estate area and a small Katensiedlung can be seen. The estate had extensive parks. The measuring table sheet from 1880 (MTB 1880) shows a changed item, which is a compact three-sided system. The park now has a baroque structure. There are farm workers' cottages south of the estate.

In 1871 the state statistics show the following information: Klein Miltzow had 6 houses with 17 households and 95 inhabitants, in 1867 there were 102.

The village did not change until 1920 (according to MTB 1920). With the land reform of 1945, small new farmer settlements were established as an extension of the old village center. The estate was later built over with an agricultural complex from the LPG. Only one building on the estate survived, it became a monument.

After 1990, the LPG complex expanded into an extensive industrial area, which almost creates a connection between Klein Miltzow and Miltzow.

Klein Miltzow belonged to the municipality of Miltzow . This merged on June 7, 2009 with the communities Behnkendorf , Brandshagen , Horst , Kirchdorf , Reinberg and Wilmshagen to form the new community Sundhagen.
