geography

Oberhinrichshagen is 19 km southeast of the city of Stralsund and 15 km northwest of the city of Greifswald . The district borders in the north on the Greifswalder Bodden. According to PUM, there was still the "Langenhinrichshagener Wald" (the old name of the place) in 1835. The surrounding districts are (starting in the north, clockwise): Groß Miltzow, Reinberg, Miltzow, Engelswacht and Behnkendorf.

history

Oberhinrichshagen, then called Langenhinrichshagen, was first mentioned in Greifswald city documents in 1335. At that time the property belonged to the Slawestorpe family. In 1376 this sold the property to the city of Greifswald and their Hospital Heiliger Geist. Like all places in the area, the property was acquired by Duke Wartislaw IX in 1418. approved. In the old days the place is said to have had 11 farms, in 1670 there were 7 and in 1683 only 6 farms. In 1670 the place also had a granny cottage and a shepherd's cottage. In 1786 there are 7 farms registered. In 1799 2 farms were spun off from the village and were used as a residential area in Niederhinrichshagen in Reinberg until 1809. A yard was laid and the rest of the yard and the jug then belonged to Reinberg.

In 1833 the construction of the stone railway from Greifswald to Stralsund (later B 96, now B 105) began. This road cut through the town marker and separations had to be carried out. At the same time it was found that the old farms were dilapidated and no longer met the requirements for agricultural operations. With the separation of the new courtyards, it was therefore decided to relocate the courtyards to the arable land, so that a star-shaped structure was created around the central courtyard for the village. With this regulation one avoided long economic routes at that time. In 1845 the construction of the courtyards and the separation were completed. The court leaseholders have now received contracts for a period of 25 years from the City and Hospital Greifswald.

It was helpful for the new building that clay deposits were discovered on the Bodden coast around 1835 and brickworks were set up both by Groß Miltzower and on the Hinrichshagen side of the Mühlbach. The brickworks consisted of a house, 3 farm buildings, 2 brick barns, a brick oven and a cottage with two apartments. In 1866 the brickworks belonged to a Grählert, but no brickworks are recorded in the measuring table sheet from 1880, the deposits were probably exhausted.

In 1866, Oberhinrichshagen consisted of 5 residential buildings, 20 farm buildings and 5 cottages with 2 to 3 apartments each. The place had 201 inhabitants in 1862, in 1767 there were only 124.

In 1866 the farms had the following tenants:

  • Farm IM Vägler with 411 acres and a 20-year lease of 800 Thaler
  • Hof II. Luchterhand with 312 acres and 705 thalers
  • Court III. Steinbrink with 364 acres and 780 thalers
  • Hof IV. C. Vägler with 378 acres and 650 Thaler
  • Hof V. Spork with 304 acres and 500 Thaler

2/3 of the lease income went to the city and 1/3 to the Heilig Geist Hospital Greifswald.

In 1871 the state statistics show the following information: Oberhinrichshagen had 16 houses with 30 households and 192 inhabitants, in 1867 there were still 217. All inhabitants were members of the Protestant denomination.

These systems existed until the end of the Second World War . The courtyards all had their own names: "Brennerhof" in the southwest, "Borgwarthof" in the southeast, "Neidelhof" in the north, the "Oberhof" in the northwest and the "Zentralhof" in the town center. The so-called Oberhof fell in desolation after 1945 and the development of the Neidelhof stagnated. The other courtyards have developed and expanded into independent living spaces.

Oberhinrichshagen belonged to the community of Reinberg . This merged on June 7th, 2009 with the communities Behnkendorf , Brandshagen , Horst , Kirchdorf , Miltzow and Wilmshagen to form the new community Sundhagen.
