Christian Gottlob Haltaus
Christian Gottlob Haltaus (born April 24, 1702 in Leipzig ; † February 11, 1758 there ) was a historian and linguist.
Life
Haltaus attended the Nikolaischule in Leipzig from 1713 and studied at the University of Leipzig from 1721 . After completing his studies, he initially worked as a private tutor. In November 1734 he was employed as Tertius at the Nikolaischule, rose to vice rector in November 1746 and finally to rector in early 1752 .
