Christian Hausmann (born November 21, 1963 in West Berlin ) is a former German soccer player .
Career
Christian Hausmann, son of the former Hertha professional Karl-Heinz Hausmann , played for the Bayer 04 Leverkusen professional team from 1986 . Before that he was active at the Berlin clubs RFC Alt-Holland , Meteor 06 Berlin , Blau-Weiß 90 Berlin and Reinickendorfer Füchse . In 1988 he celebrated the UEFA Cup victory with the “Werkself” - the greatest success of his career. In the winter of 1989 he moved to 1. FC Nürnberg for DM 650,000 . Most recently in Leverkusen he was only a substitute and initially couldn't get beyond this role in Nuremberg either. From 1989 onwards, when he played, he was often on the pitch for 90 minutes. In April 1991 he was suspended by trainer Arie Haan because he “no longer went along”, according to his coach.
For the season 1991/92 he moved back to his home in Berlin, to Hertha BSC, for 300,000 DM together with Uli Bayerschmidt . On December 15, 1991, his 21st league appearance for Hertha, he headed the 1-0 opening goal against SV Meppen in the 45th minute , but clashed with goalkeeper Manfred Kubik so unhappy that he removed a kidney and spleen had to be and he was in intensive care for over a week. Hausmann was then no longer able to continue his footballing career.
In 2007 he became a coach at the district division VfL Witzhelden and worked there until July 2010. From February 2011 Hausmann is the new coach of the district division TG Hilgen 04. In February 2012 it was announced that the contract will be terminated at the end of the 2011/12 season.
