Uli Bayerschmidt (born March 3, 1967 in Munich ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

Emerging from the youth department of FC Bayern Munich , Bayerschmidt initially played for Bayern's amateur team . For the 1986/87 season he received a licensed player contract and played his first Bundesliga game - substituting for Michael Rummenigge in the 83rd minute - on April 15, 1987 (25th matchday) in a 3-2 home win against Werder Bremen . He scored his only goal in the Bundesliga on May 21, 1988 (34th matchday) in Bayern's 4-3 win in the away game against Bayer 04 Leverkusen, with the goal to make it 2: 3 in the 50th minute. This was also his last of four Bundesliga games for FC Bayern Munich, with which he won the German championship in his first season .

Internationally, Bayerschmidt played one game each in the European Cup (in a 0-0 draw on October 1, 1986 in the home and second leg of the first round against PSV Eindhoven ) and in the UEFA Cup (in a 3-1 win on October 7 , 1986 ) September 1988 in the home and first leg of the 1st round against Legia Warsaw ).

During the winter break of the 1988/89 season he moved to 1. FC Nürnberg and played two and a half more years in the Bundesliga before he - as a regular - played for Hertha BSC in the 2.
