Gregor Rottschalk (born January 12, 1945 in Stargard in Pomerania ) is a German songwriter , author , music producer and radio presenter . Together with Peter Maffay and Rolf Zuckowski, he is the inventor and original author of the fairy tale character Tabaluga .

Life

From December 1967 to the beginning of the 1990s, he was best known as a moderator in the Berlin radio landscape through the following programs:

  • RIAS hit cassette ( RIAS 1 / RIAS 2 )
  • The Pop Testival (RIAS 2)
  • Meeting point pop show (RIAS 2)
  • RIAS meeting point (RIAS 2)
  • Music after school (RIAS 1 / RIAS 2)
  • Berlin Charts, "the monster broadcast" (RIAS 2 / Hundred, 6 )

Gregor Rottschalk was also a co-founder of the radio station jfk 98.2 .

As a lyricist he achieved successes with the artists , mostly under the pseudonym Christian Heilburg:

His own singles were notable successes, but quite successful on the radio:

  • Ra-Ta-Ta (German version, 1970)
  • Dum-Di-Da (1971)
  • A tape with your name on it (1975)

Gregor Rottschalk lived in Dublin and Mallorca until the mid-1990s . Currently (as of January 2013) he lives in Valletta .

Gregor Rottschalk also had a small guest appearance in the 1996 film You Are Not Alone - The Roy Black Story . In this film he played a radio host.
