Christian Kosegarten
Christian Kosegarten (born May 7, 1770 in Grevesmühlen , † April 21, 1821 in Hamburg ) was a German lawyer , lawyer , philosopher , poet and writer .
Life
Friedrich Franz Kosegarten was the youngest son of pastor Bernhard Christian Kosegarten (1722–1803). His mother Anna Christiane, b. Stiegenhaus, († 1979) was the second wife of the father. The theologian, educator and writer Friedrich Franz Kosegarten (1772–1849) was his brother, the pastors Johann Joachim Kosegarten (1751–1823) and Ludwig Gotthard Kosegarten (1758–1818) were his half-brothers.
Christian Kosegarten first studied theology and then worked as a private tutor in Neustrelitz , Waren (Müritz) and Hamburg. From Easter he studied law in Leipzig and received his doctorate in 1801. In 1802 he married the daughter of Friederike the Lübeck surgeon. He returned to Hamburg, received citizenship there in 1803 and became a lawyer . He is said to have participated in the campaign of 1813 and later died of emaciation .
