Christian Müller (politician, 1900)
Christian Müller (born August 12, 1900 in Langenau near Tettau , † January 20, 1963 in Tettau ) was a German politician ( SPD ).
Müller began his apprenticeship in the glass factory in Alexanderhütte at the age of fourteen before he was deployed as a soldier in the First World War . After the end of the war he returned to the glass works, where he worked until 1933. In 1919 he joined the SPD, for which he was active as a political speaker. In 1932 he became secretary working for the district of Kronach , but he was a year later as part of the seizure of power by the National Socialists taken for eight weeks in protective custody. In the Second World War he was active again as a soldier, but he was under military supervision because he was viewed as "politically unreliable". After the end of the war he returned to his homeland, where he could again serve the SPD and the trade unions. In 1946 he was elected mayor of his home town of Tettau. He was also a member of the district assembly in which he chaired the SPD faction. In the state elections in 1950 he was elected directly to the Bavarian state parliament in the Kronach constituency, and in later elections he won a mandate from the constituency list. He was a member of the state parliament until his death; Andreas Stenglein was his successor . He was awarded the Bavarian Order of Merit on June 23, 1962.
